The Vision of India: How Indian Philosophy Begins
A talk in Hindi, with an English summary.

Summary
To understand India, Yogi Shri says, you need to understand its way of seeing. Before moving into the practice of Ashtanga Yoga in the Netra Tantra, he explains the philosophy behind the sadhana.
In Indian darshan the seer first sees the truth, and only then builds a system — a path of reasoning — by which others can reach it. That is why the classical texts, from the Upanishads to Patanjali, open with a statement of what is true in their first lines, and only then unfold it section by section. This reverses the usual approach of argument, where a conclusion is proved step by step from assumptions.
Key points
- Darshan means seeing: the truth is seen first, then explained.
- Classical texts state the truth in their opening lines, then build the path to it.
- The system exists to lead the student to what the seer saw.
