Online Meditation

Guided group meditation and workshops, online.

Meditation is simple to describe and hard to keep up alone. A live online class gives you three things a recording cannot: a teacher who answers your questions, a group that sits with you, and a fixed time that turns meditation into a habit. Sessions are guided live from Rishikesh by Yogi Shri G. Niranjan.

How a guided session works

  • Settling — posture, breath and a few minutes to arrive.
  • Exploration — a short, interactive talk on the theme of the day.
  • Practice — a meditation technique, guided step by step.
  • Sharing — time to describe your experience and receive personal guidance.

Techniques you will learn

The methods come from the classical sources rather than a single modern style. They include concentration on a single support (dharana), awareness of breath, the use of sound and mantra, and techniques from the Vigyan Bhairav Tantra, a text that describes many doorways into meditative awareness through breath, sound, space and sensation. Students are helped to find the technique that suits their temperament rather than trying everything at once.

Meditation for beginners

If you have never meditated, start here. Sit for ten minutes a day at the same time, rest your attention on the natural breath, and return to it whenever the mind wanders — that returning is the practice. Our article Meditation for Beginners: How to Start a Daily Sadhana explains the first weeks in detail, and the guided practices page gives two short sessions you can follow today.

Self-paced meditation courses

Fees and how to join

The weekly group sessions and their recordings are included in the Blessed Aspirants membership (€30 per month). Several courses are free. Send us a message and we will share the joining details for the live sessions.

Meditation supports well-being but is not psychological or medical treatment. If you are under medical care, speak with your doctor before beginning an intensive practice.
